4ninabis, jeune association toulousaine qui entend poursuivre son activité en inscrivant ses projets spécifiques et sa programmation en expérimentant et developpant l'ouverture pluridisciplinaire internationale invite Déco : plateforme dédiée aux projets electroniques medias en music, vidéo, web, design...et le label bordelais Wwilko, représenté par Beffroi.

Déco a démarré en décembre 2000, motivé par l'idée de sortir de nouvelles et premières productions françaises. Lionel Fernandez et Erik Minkkinen, activistes de longue date, multiplient les projets, pour leur label comme pour l'organisation d'événements, avec Büro (fondé avec Isabelle P./Mego et Sylvie Astié/Dokidoki), structure d'organisation d'événements autour des musiques électroniques : concerts, soirées, installations, propositions d'écoute..etc. L'idée de départ de büro était, dans un Paris alors désertique, de faire venir en France et plus particulièrement à Paris tout un pan de la scène électronique, hyper excitante et productive, et qui n'avait ici pas d'espace de diffusion, pas de salle, pas d'organisateur... La 1ère soirée, pas encore structurée en büro mais néanmoins point de départ de ce travail, fut organisée en juin 96 autour de la compilation Sub Rosa Hommage à Gilles Deleuze et réunissait Main/ Scanner/ David Shea/ les Ovalvidéos... Pour Büro 1, ont joué Fenno'berg (Fennesz/ O'Rourke/ Rehberg) + Farmers Manual. Depuis ils continuent et ont fait venir (pour la première fois en France) Christian Fennesz, Fx Randomiz, Thomas Brinkmann, Chicks on speed, Oval, Christophe Charles, Pan sonic, Ryoji Ikeda, Microstoria, Radian, General magic, Francisco Lopez, Russel haswell et d'autres...

L.Fernandez explique que " l'interconnexion de personnel " et les relations étroites entre Büro, Déco et Mego n'altèrent en rien l'identité musicale du label et de ses artistes dont les principaux points communs sont selon lui : " la mauvaise foi, la critique facile, une certaine endurance dans les joutes nocturnes, et un goût prononcé pour la construction de leurs propres outils ".

This is the second evening hosted by the associations 4ninabis and F3bc at 8 Place Arzac, St Cyprien, Toulouse.
Followinfg on from the success of the London-based label Expanding, it is the turn of Parisien Déco to take to the stage at the studio F3bc, promising to take us on an innovative musical tour of their catalogue.
4ninabis is a fresh, young collaboration from Toulouse, who work on their own specific projects and experimental style, as well as the promotion of a variety of international sounds. They invite Déco - who give a dedicated platform to a variety of musical electronic media, such as video, the internet and design - and also Bordeaux-based label Wwilko, represented by Beffroi.
Déco first started back in 2000, driven by the idea of releasing new and original French productions.Lionel Fernandez and Erik Mikkinen, seasoned innovators, work on numerous projects for their label alongside Buro (founded by Isabelle P. / Mego /
and Sylvie Astié / Dokidoki ) such as the organisation of events and their structure around the electronical music, eg concerts, club nights,performances and opportunities for personal enjoyment through the use of sound booths.
The initial idea behind Buro was to bring France - and in particular Paris - a whole new side of the electronica scene, exciting and productive, which had never before had the space to grow, a venue, or even an organiser...
The first night, not then structured by Buro but nevertheless the start of the project, was organised back in 1996 based on the compilation 'Sub Rosa Hommage è Gilles Deleuze', and bought together Main, Scanner, David Shea, and Les Ovalvidéos. Fenno'burg (Fennesz / O'Rourke / Rehberg) and Farmers Manual played for Buro 1. Since then they've continued, and bought over (for the first time in France) Christian Fennesz / ...... and others...
Another Buro event is 'Le Placard' (The Cupboard) : concerts in apartments where those in attendence listen to music through headphones... and continue doing so from 72 up to 2280 hours... placard95.dokidoki.fr

Fernandez explains that the 'interpersonal connection' and the direct relations between Buro, Déco and Mego don't even slightly compromise the musical identity of the label or its artists. According to him, their main common perspectives are "BAD FAITH, EASY CRITICISM, the ability to last the whole night through, a definate taste for the making of their own tools."
